It is indescribably neat witnessing J.'s increasing grasp of language. Though he doesn't really say words yet, except for "mama" and a couple other words I can't really make out, his comprehension grows by the day. Reminds me of the time I was working at Kroger while still in college and some guy came through with a cake that said "I'm sorry. I was an ass."  Of course, he MEANT for it to say that.

First, the abdominal pain. Finally got that under control by, well, starving myself, and now I have a HUGE fucking canker sore on one of my tonsils! ARRRGGGHHH it really hurts too.
