Hear hear. Curry powder is mostly useful for seasoning dishes that are not a) Indian or b) curries.

yes, i won't deny that it is occasionally useful. it just needs to be told to go sit in the corner the rest of the time.

Ugh, I hate curry powder. To such a point that I thought I hated curry for a long time. Thank God I realised my mistake. Kind of like how I hate cherry-flavoured things so I thought I hated cherries. Which is so wrong - cherries are the most delicious fruit on the planet.

Anyway, I think I might try this recipe with the giant head of cauliflower in my fridge. Though since I have to pick up carrots, maybe I'll get broccoli too.

the carrots aren't that important. i was ambivalent about their presence.

cauliflower would be awesome.

I'm copying your recipe, and intend to try it within the week.

And I'm leaving out curry powder.

I've been trying to make curries since Ami and I went to a Chinese/Indian restaurant in Vancouver. I think it was "green lettuce", but I'm not positive. It's been a couple months?
