Well you can predict things but only to a certain extent, as one can make errors in thinking or judgement. I see life as many strands of information that intertwine to build up a bigger pattern of whats going on in regards to a person or an event and that pattern is constantly changing. It is true that when you gain the wisedom from experince of life, you can spot the same patterns. However wisedom is both man's greatest gift and greatest folly. Hope is never a moot point, without hope, even a fools hope, then life itself becomes moot.
Wise men are fools and the fools are wise men. A contridiction of bullshit perhaps, but if i did not have my foolish hope, i would not be here.
I'm not attacking your view point as i can see where your logic is coming from. Though it is better to be a fool, than a cynical and wise old man reliving the glory days while drowning the sorrow in dreams and alcohol.
