It was probably a joke. Probably meant to point out the absurdity of the statement "God bless America." It's just as ridiculous to think that God would pay attention to arbitrary human made boundaries and favor people that happened to be born in one of those areas over people in another.

So in short, I wouldn't let it upset you.
