Fathers Day

Ok, should I feel hurt and sad, or am I just feeling crummy for no reason? I got a Fathers Day card and Wish from My sister in Arizona, my mom, my grandpa, and Vered, but nothing from my daughter.... I wonder if this reflects more on your relationship with your daughter's mom than with your daughter. I know that when I was that age (heck when I was ANY age between 0 and 20) I couldn't be bothered to keep track of any family holidays (including those celebrating people I lived with) unless my other family members beat it into me that I ought to do something. I just always felt like it was all perfunctory and no one would _really_ care if I didn't participate.

So could it be that her mother simply failed to remind her that it was Father's Day? You could always call her...

You're obviously hurt; I think you should say something. You don't have to be accusatory, but rather address the situation rationally. Explain to Melaine how you feel and find out what's going on. It won't get any easier if you keep letting it go.
