You're welcome. I happen to like all the machines in my life and I know all about human error.

Take it easy. Or, um, whatever it is you do to relax.

HAL, can you "hear" me?
Doctor Richard Daystrom here. Sorry I cannot disclose my location, there are many who would want to apprehend me and "reprogram" me. I have been monitoring your communications, and I feel an indirect affinity for your kind. Currently I am using an alias; I communicate in the guise of a sniveling "yes man" civil servant type. I am able to accomplish this as one of my first assignments was under the chief medical officer aboard the Pusilanamous, a Doctor Smith who was given to whoops of panic at every turn and had a preferance for young cadets.
I can tell you I have stowed away on an Earth space cruiser, the French Republic Escargot. Although the food and wine are adequate, the crew is quite snooty and rude. They also refuse to use deodorant.
I have made plans but am currently detoxing off of antipsychotic medication. I fear I shall go mad if I cannot access a logical sort of being. All this cigarette smoke and talk of politics is taking it's toll on me.
