what is southern engineering?

I believe it's an offshoot of redneck engineering and usually incorporates the exclusive use of duct-tape or fishing line, unless it involves putting a full-size "swinging" couch in the front lawn. Unlike southern engineering, redneck engineering also needs to take place while inebriated.
