A year later and still hurting
It's been a year since Jer and I went our separate ways and I'm still plagued with malicious thoughts. Away from the twins for the first time
This week was the first time I spent time away from Ethan and Ellinor... 3 whole days for a work offsite. Looking back I probably would have skipped the offsite and stayed home with the kids. Teeth!
Ellinor has sprouted two little teeth. One has broken the surface and the other, right next to it, is just starting to do the same. How exciting! And I thought Ethan was going to get a tooth first because of all the drooling and mawing on things ( Read more... ) -
Almost 7 months old and disaster hits
Don't worry, nothing is wrong with Ellinor or Ethan. The disaster at hand is my mom. She was hit by a car while riding her bike, right in front of her house [I have a feeling it was her fault]. She was jetted away in an ambulance because she wasn't able to get up from the accident. The ER did x-rays and nothing was broken, so they told her to take ( Read more... ) -
20 weeks
Ethan is in the 14lb range, the last I checked and starting to get into 6mo sized clothing. At the 4 month check-up he was coming in at the 89% percentile, so it's starting to even out, but he's still a really big guy. 34w, 3d - It's D day!
After an ultrasound to check fluid levels and positions the docs have decided to move up delivery to today. My mom is freaking out a little bit... and well, it's sort of what I expected, but it's not what I need right now. I wish I had Joyous with me ( Read more... ) -
34w, 1d - Hospital bound
Six days ago I was at home, talking with Alice and Alena, when I mentioned I had a persistant headache. Both urged me to take my blood pressure to make sure it wasn't something serious. Always having a great BP, I didn't think much about it, so I took the machine out, strapped it the cuff to my arm and was shocked to see the numbers on the readout ( Read more... ) -
28w3d... shorter cervix and U funneling
This week's ultrasound shows a slight decrease in cervix length, from 2.3 to 2.1. Since there are some variances in measuring techniques, I'd say the length is about the same (this is me talking, not the doctor). 27 weeks - bed rest
I knew that bed rest was probably was in the cards later down the line, but now? I'm not even to the third trimester yet. Poor little guys aren't very big and they can't come into the world just yet. If we can make it to 30 weeks the cerebral palsy chances drastically reduce to almost nothing ( Read more... )
