Thanks for asking about my mom. She has her 3rd of 6 chemo treatments today. She's having lots of arthritis pain. Good news is that blood work after her 1st chemo showed the cancer antigens significantly reduced, for which we all are glad.
Ha, we share a hatred of the automatic blood pressure cuff! I was so pissed off at that thing by the time I had the baby, I kept ripping it off and setting off alarms.
Thanks for posting the story. It sounds like we had very similar induction experiences - it took me forever to move beyond 2ish cm, and then after my epidural I hit 10cm real fast. Funny since I, too, was really worried about the epidural stalling labor.
Oh, and I wish someone would have put a pillow under a hip - my epidural DID pool a bit on my left side, which led to me having a complete freak out when I finally got out of bed then lost ALL FEELING in my leg several hours after the birth.
Anyway, we both got beautiful girls out of the ordeal, so I suppose it was worth it :)
