Tomorrow I have to submit at least 5 pieces of work to be assessed by the art department faculty. I spent the entire week and weekend cleaning pieces of my old stuff and making but really, most of the time make displays and cases for them. I built a stand for the CAD and photography, a box for one metal piece, and a pouch for my ring project.

My first assignment was to practice using drawings to communicate something. our teacher brought out a tent we had to figure out how to construct (which wasn't hard) but then we had to draw a set of instructions with any media on any medium. I chose to put it on fabric.

I never really cared about Pilgrims; I enjoy getting together as a family and eating good food tho. I get caught up in all the gift giving and wrapping because it brings us together, and there's something about surprises, however small, that's exciting ( Read more... )

We didn't want to make Christmas dinner a big deal this year; someone suggested eating out at Chart House or something but Vivian wanted to cook at home cause it's more involved. What was supposed to be a simple dinner included prime rib, lamb chops, and a lot of other meat ( Read more... )
