Its probably because of these ridiculus gas prices. Nobody has that extra 5 bucks to spend on a damn coffee when it costs you 60 dollars to fill up your car.

The gas prices and the fact that there are 4 (yes, 4!) Starbucks within a 5 minute drive from my house.
I love convenience, but seriously? Do I need that many so close??

Agreed... the mentality of "a starbucks on every corner" isn't a great business model since by then your stores are largely competing with themselves.
