So, the free to play Evony game that flashes in the banners on LJ once in a while? Mike decided to play it. He found it incredibly fun and loved it, however he also got a trojan virus by downloading it. Yuck. It's all fixed now, but it was quite a pain to get rid of.

Out of curiosity, was the ad he clicked one of the ones that's basically "Look! TITS!"? :)

Hahaha, no. It wasn't the ad itself, I should clarify. It was the game the ad was advertising that installed the trojan.

huh I run Firefox and NoScript, so I've never seen these ads you're talking about. I know they're there, and I sometimes regret upgrading my old Basic account to a Plus one as I know they have to be irritating for my readers, but I've not seen them. I'm suddenly really glad.

LOL, I don't think either of us ever actually saw the "Look!TITS!" ads, but I totally see what you're saying now. Those are pretty um, over the top. Sucks that the game was fun.
