Tim/Kon Slash Fic Challenge.
Prompt: Halloween
“Conner, we’re going to be late!”
“I’m comin’! This costume doesn’t... fit right.” Conner didn’t understand why the two of them had to go to Zatanna’s Annual Superhero Costume Party in the first place. He found it rather corny that superheroes dress up as other superheroes. But Tim insisted that the both of them go since Vic let them get the weekend off for once.
“Here, let me help.” Tim’s footsteps could be heard coming up the stairs of the Titans Tower. As well as a lot of rustling coming from Conner’s room. Then a loud thump rang through the tower.
“Wait a sec. I’m not-” The door slid open, exposing Tim to a nude Conner Kent on the ground with a Nightwing costume around his ankles.
“You… weren’t going to wear underwear?” Tim immediately turned his head away from the naked Conner Kent as he got up and pulled the costume to cover his lower body.
“I already told you. I didn’t like the way the costume fit, so I was gonna try it without my underwear to see if I’d be more comfortable.” He tried pulling the rest of the costume on, but it still wasn’t fitting him right. The costume was now riding up his backside. “Ugh… I’m not going.” He exclaimed out of frustration. None of the other Teen Titans were going to be there. They all had other things they had to take care of; whatever that meant. “The only people going are going to be the members of the Justice League anyway.”
“I know, but Cassandra told me she might stop by later. I know she’ll want to see you and your… uhh… Superbulge for sure.” Tim chuckled at the spandex uniform his best friend was sporting.
“Shut up, Tim.” Conner marched over to the other side of his room to grab his normal clothing and proceeded to change back into them. “Now would you mind?”
“You act like it’s nothing I’ve ever seen before, Conner. Everyone in this world knows you’re not the most modest member of the Teen Titans.” He stepped into the room and closed the door behind him, taking a few paces forward to peer out the window. “You know. If you don’t want to go as Nightwing, we could go as each other.”
“Yea, and we might as well have a press conference telling the whole world we’re dating.”
“Yea, and you act like everyone doesn’t already know.” He turned around to see his super boyfriend in only his socks, proceeding to put his underwear back on. “Do you really have to put those back on, Conner? I happen to like the view from over here.” Tim knew good and well that comments like these made Conner uncomfortable.
“I do, as a matter of fact. I’m leaving.” There was something about the way Tim was acting that was pushing all of Conner’s buttons tonight. He threw the rest of his clothes on and stomped toward the door, but not before Tim placed his hand on the door and blocked the way.
“Did I do something wrong, Conner?” He was genuinely concerned.
“No, Tim. I just…”
Tim knew what this was all about. It was about their relationship being a matter of public knowledge. Now Tim wasn’t the most comfortable with it either, but didn’t have nearly as much of a problem with it as Conner did. There was something telling him that the worlds Superboy had to maintain this perfect image. That he and his “lifestyle” had to remain squeaky clean. But that just wasn’t who he was.
“It’s us isn’t it?”
“No! It’s not. I’m just. Can we just go to the party and have a good time?” Conner wasn’t the best at changing subjects, but Tim gave him credit for not wanting to fight.
“Yea, so are you going to go as Nightwing, or Robin.”
“I’ll try Nightwing one more time.”
“Can I watch this time?” They laughed.
