I broke down and bought a cellphone.   I thought I could survive without one...but I was weak.  I was so weak.  All in all I spent about 100,000won: 80,000 for the phone; 20,000 for about an hour's worth of prepaid calling/text messaging.  My number is (82-2)010-3148-1804.

Oh! And I can't accept incoming international calls.  So don't even try ( Read more... )

Yeah, I'm sorry about the Int'l calls. And things are going very well, if too quickly.

All my love,

I like the icon. Emily's right, you wander more than anyone I know, but even when you are lost, you give it a sort of finesse, like, hey, I meant to be here...wherever it is.

Hey Jud,
glad to see some posts from you! Tell me more about Korea...maybe I'll email you and ask you more about it, but only if you'll email me back. I'm looking into buying my plane ticket for London - it's crazy! Out of curiousity, how many dollars is 100,000won? And, if you can't accept international calls, who do you talk to on the cell phone? Your new friends in Korea? :o)

Oh! You caught me. The phone is for local calls. To answer your question about the exchange rate of won to dollar, I believe it is approximately 1,000won to 1dollar.

Wishing you the best of luck finding a plane ticket to London,

Jud
