read it again recently actually (makes that... what? three? four times now?) man... i could totally see Palin going all Aunt Lydia on us, with Madame McCain being a regular Serenity Joy.

I LOVE Hillary. I know she isn't perfect, but who is? At least I felt like she was more like one of us.

I just reread it, too. The scariest part to me? Not being allowed to read! When she gets to play Scrabble I almost cried, haha. I would be so starved for literature by that point that even a table game would be like heaven.

fuck yes. i often wondered if she ever felt afraid that she'd forget how to read...

what always freaked me out was how it just sort of... happened. one little crisis and BAM. everything goes to hell without anyone really noticing.
