Note to self: buy more tops that AREN'T anime t-shirts
Today's project: Laundry.
So. Much. Laundry.
I've been behind on laundry for, um, months, so I finally got a start on it today since...the house is ours in a week from tomorrow and we'll be moving soon. Um yeah. My second load is in the dryer now. Total of about two and a half full loads, plus a ton of hand wash stuff I gotta do (well, okay "a ton" is a bit much, but something like 15 pieces). Threw away a kitchen-sized garbage bag of clothes (plus another bit I couldn't fit in that I'll throw away soon), and giving away what's probably another bag's worth. ...One of the things I had to throw away was one of my favorite shirts ever. White peasant-style shirt with brown "leather-esque" lacing around the collar and sleeves. Or, well, it USED to be white, but the shirt was old (I bought it for a thrown-together getto costume for the Two Towers premier. If I remember right, that movie premiered in...what...2002? Yeah, OLD. And the tag said "do not bleach", so I don't think I could make it white again, so I...I threw it away. ;-; SOB! I loved that shiiiiirt...
I did find a Fullmetal Alchemist shirt I TOTALLY FORGOT I HAD though. XD I think Kisa got it for me? Or someone did. It's a huuuuuge shirt, but that makes it nice for sleeping in. So yeah.
I've gone through pretty much everything...except my dresser. I should probably go ahead and do that tonight or first thing tomorrow morning...and then start on everything else I have to sort through.
So that's what my day's been pretty much like. Laundry, punctuated by a bit 'o LJ. Mostly looking on my flist because I...didn't feel like looking on the Poly flist when it's bound to be full of people yelling OMG scarecrows. Not that I don't like this curse, I think it's awesome, it's just a pain to get through when you're trying to do 18958398 other things. (Okay, ONE other thing, but it's LAUNDRY).
...Also, I just read a series of Chrono Crusade short fics that makes me want to write for that fandom. Which, well, i told someone on f!s that I WOULD. And I do want to write something Chrono/Shader, because...I...like testing fandoms I technically don't participate in actively (as much as I would like to)? I don't know, I just LIKE CHRONO/SHADER. I DON'T KNOW WHY. But I gotta keep going on those Ahiru fics. (BTW, I did write one last night, I just have to go through it and clean it up. I can't help but feel like it's...vaguely similar to the LAST one I wrote. Why am I constantly writing Fakir/Ahiru? I went into this fanfic challenge trying NOT to write it. ...Oh well, at least I haven't fallen into the trap of "Fakir turns Duck into a girl with a story" or "Fakir angsts because he can't" yet. Not that all of those stories are bad--on the contrary, a lot of them are good, some of my favorites--I just really want to do something different. I know I'm going to actively subvert Fakir writing Ahiru back into a girl willingly, although I haven't decided how to do that yet. I'll figure out something, though.
I also know that with the Ahiru challenge I'm going to try to experiment with short short SHORT pieces to make sure I have enough time to complete it in. Maybe even poetry (although since I, um, suck at poetry that might not be the best idea in the world). I'll figure out something...if...my muse will work with me. ...I need to write at least one thing tonight or I'm going to be drastically behind, since I'm already one behind, and I have to write every day or I won't finish in time. So...yeah. I'll write some short things even if my muse don't feel like it.
Okay, now that I got THAT out of the way: I was actively ignoring this meme ("i'm too busy" blah blah), but then Caleb did it so I had to comment, so now I'm gonna do it. ("distracts from THE LAUNDRY")
