Oh it's just fabu. ^-^ It's about this other world in London and evil smoke and ninja trash cans and all kinds of creative goodness~

It's one of those books that you think is going one way and then it completely turns around on you. The kind that you don't want to tell the other person too much about because it's something that needs the be experienced, like Princess Tutu. Good. Times

AH-MAZE-ING LIST!!!!!!!!!

Who Framed Roger Rabbit? - CLASSIC. I loved this film a lot and hahahaha my folks thought it'd be appropriate for kids to watch since it had popular cartoon characters. =')

Ashita no Nadja!!! Another great classic! HORRIBLE shame not all the episodes are subbed though ;~;

There needs to be a One Piece on this list of things to watch. X3

You seem to have a FANTASTIC taste and would love to say a bit of something in each of them but yesyesyesyes Baten Kaitos. ;o;

Yeah, I'm a big animation fan, so I think it's kinda...okay, REALLY bad I haven't seen Roger Rabbit yet. XD (My parents kinda knew it wasn't for young kids, which is why I haven't seen it, I think. Part of the reason, anyway.)

Awww, not all of the episodes are subbed? That sucks! Well...I have such a huge list that I can probably put it off a little and see what happens with the subs for that show.\

Not sure about One Piece. I've seen a random episode or two of it, and it seems very...shounen-y. Which isn't a bad thing, I just know from experience that I don't tend to like long-running shounen series. I do have a friend that adores the manga, though, so I might end up trying one or the other eventually.

I'm glad you think I have good taste! <3 And yes, BKO is basically going to be what I play after I finish Riviera or TOV...I've been needing to play it for YEARS now.

Better late than never!

Yeah, I think the last episode that was subbed was around the late 30s to early 40s out of the 50ish episodes. In fact, I may actually try to teach myself how to encode subtitles and may sub the remainder with a friend who has the raws and scripts!

It does contain a lot of the commonly know shounen elements, I'll admit, but for the most part I think it goes beyond what (ironically) a lot of other popular titles out there in characterization, world exploration, and detail. As long as it is, I still have yet to get tired of it (the anime draws heavily at a point though, to avoid catching up with the manga which can get a little frustrating). All the main characters each have a unique dynamic with each other that I feel really represents a theme of friendship rather than throwing out "we're friends!" for the sake of throwing it out. But yes, I can honestly say the One Piece is truly one of the best of the bests.

YESSS cannot wait to hear what you think of it!!!

...Do you still check this thing? XD;;

I highly recommend Stranger than Fiction and Paprika. The former is wondrous metafiction that I only have one gripe with, and it's more a philosophical nitpick than anything. The latter is a brainbreak dreamfest that actually does make a lot of sense if you actually thought about it (and rewatched it once or twice XD ). Fans of Princess Tutu's meta and surreal aspect? Will LOVE THESE TWO. 8D (I sure did!)

XD Yes! Somewhat! I've just been too busy/lazy the past month to get much done on it.

That being said, I approve of your taste. Stranger than Fiction is one of my favorite movies ever, and I adore most of Satoshi Kon's work. ^^

...And you have just reminded me that I have not yet watched Tokyo Godfathers despite people saying they think I'd like it. *goes to write that down on her to-watch list*

OH! And one more movie that seems way out of left field -- Galaxy Quest. Oh god. It's hilarious. And for the sci-fi geek in all many of us. XD *Great* characters, creative twist -- it's not about a starship team, it's about a cast of actors who *play* the characters (harhar guess which TV show it's a stand-in for) -- and make that, *used* to play the characters. As for the plot....I guess in short, think Star Trek meets The Incredibles. XD But it's *awesome*. Watch eeeeeeet~ ^o^ (Unless you already have! Then you know what I'm talking about! 8D )

Yeah, I haven't seen that one yet, either. XD I'd love to see all of Satoshi Kon's stuff, but all I've seen so far is Millennium Actress, Paprika and (my favorite) Paranoia Agent.

Oh yeah, I've seen Galaxy Quest, too. XD Seeeeveral times. It was one of those movies that was really popular with kids my age, so even though I didn't see it in theaters I saw it pretty quickly when it came out on video. It's a classic.
