Another one of those "feel free to ignore" things--this is either things I want to keep track of for myself to buy, or my (early, to give them plenty of time) birthday/Christmas list for Mom and Dad. I figured if I put it on my LJ it'd help me keep track of it well, and I could edit it whenever I think of something new, too.
Stores I'd love having gift cards from:
-Gamestop
-Forever 21
-Modcloth.com (although I'd probably only be able to get accessories or some of their cheaper stuff)
-SockDreams.com
-Old Navy
-Target
-Amazon
-RightStuf.com
-Borders
-iTunes
Anime/DVDs
-Fullmetal Alchemist Premium OVA collection
-Emma: A Victorian Romance (just the first season is fine, I can pick up the second season later) (First season is on sale for
26 dollars now! Or the full series for
45 dollars.)
-Nerima Daikon Brothers boxset
-Pretty much anything Disney I don't already own (I'd particularly like Toy Story and Toy Story 2).
-Vision of Escaflowne complete collection
-Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog
-Porco Rosso
-Ouran High School Host Club Part 2 (This is on sale at RightStuf currently for $25!
here's a link).
-The Girl Who Leapt Through Time
-Kaleido Star: New Wings collection
-Romeo x Juliet: Romeo Collection, Part 1 (I'd be happy to have "Juliet Collection, Part 2", too, but just the first half is fine.) (This is ANOTHER one that's gone on sale--
first part fort $26, or the full series for
50 bucks.)
-Evangelion 1.0: You Are [Not] Alone
-Coraline
Books/Manga
-Anything by Megan Whalen Turner besides "Instead of Three Wishes" (her new book comes out in April, so I'd really like to have the rest of the series so I can reread!)
-Gunnerkrigg Court vol 1
Beauty
-
Lime Crime Make-up. I particularly like
this shade of lipstick or
this eyeshadow since it's still fun but not too bold.
-Make-up in general! I particularly need some good eye-liner. Eyeshadow would be great, too. I'd love more lip color in general, but I can easily make do with what I have.
Fashion:
General trends/looks I like:
-Menswear inspired
-Vintage-y looking (Particularly Victorian era to 1960's--eighties stuff can be hit-or-miss with me)
-Bohemian
-Indian-looking (Asian Indian, of course!)
-"Geek Chic"/Fashionable Librarian/whatever you'd like to call it.
-Mod
-BRIGHT colors, particularly green and teal/blue--warmer colors might be harder for me to pull off, although I love bright pink.
-Pastels and neutrals would be great, too. Dark colors are fine (particularly jewel-toned), but I'm happier with "cheerier" colors.
-Jewelery and accessories--I haven't gotten many new pieces of jewelery in a while, so this would be great!
-A jewelery box to keep my stuff organized.
Certain types of items I want/need:
-Oxford-style shoes (like
these or
these.)
-Cute sweaters/cardigans
-Items that are good for layering (basic tops, cardigans, tights, stuff like that)
-
Military Jackets-Socks/tights/leggings
-Hats. I can never have too many. Particularly hats in styles other than "newsboy" caps, since I have a lot of good basic caps like that. (patterned or colored newsboy caps would still be good, though)
-Boots, particularly ankle-boots or "granny" boots. (Sort of Victorian-looking?) I'm not as fond of, say...big bulky boots, although long boots if they're slimming enough would be nice for skirts.
-Believe it or not, I'd love to try shoes like
these if you can find some for cheap enough. White or light/bright colors, please--I think black looks too severe. (Actual Doc Martins are probably too expensive unless you get them on sale somehow, so don't worry much about the brand.)
-Ballet flats. I have a black pair and a teal/bright blue pair, so I don't need anything in those colors--but more bright colors, patterned or pairs in other neutrals would be great. (In fact, I need brown and white shoes in general.)
-Cartoon/anime tops are always great, particularly Disney. (Disney/Pixar might be best, since those are pretty much "can't miss" with me--anime shirts really depend on the series.)
-"Statement" coats (I *love* the black cape and coat I already have, but I'd really like to have another coat that's either white, brightly colored (like a sky blue) or tailored in interesting/trendy ways. (Like
this.) Probably best NOT to spend a ton of money on this if you get me one--it'd be more of a fashion statement and probably trendy, so something that won't last as long is best. I've already got a good quality will-last-me-awhile coat. ♥ I know it's unlikely to find a cute coat for cheap, so don't worry too much about this one.
-Sock Garters
-White button down shirt
Wishlists for inspiration:
(I haven't updated these since October, buuut hopefully they'll still helpful)
ModCloth. (Note: More for inspiration--I don't expect you guys to get the expensive stuff! Also, I have the wrong size listed on a lot of them because my size was already sold out, just so I could put the stuff on the list. ModCloth runs small in a lot of things, so if you do buy from me here, make sure to get the largest size possible and check the measurements first. I'd be happy to measure some of my good-fitting clothes if you need me to!)
Forever 21Hot Topic (mostly licensed tees)
Music/CDs
-The World Ends With You soundtrack (Known as "Subarashiki Konosekai" in Japan, which is probably what you'll find if you look on Amazon.)
-Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog soundtrack
-"Awake" by Skillet
-"Ellipse" by Imogen Heap
-"Oliver!" cast recording of some sort.

-Hooks for my hats and scarves (so they don't take up so much room downstairs, particularly)
