Expect more of these...
Loose ends:
Veil in the Dept. of Mysteries: Well, not exactly a loose end, but I completely expected to see it in this book. When the resurrection stone was described as displaying the dead people sorta like they’re behind a veil, I expected... A VEIL! I’m guessing a lot of things in the Dept. Of Mysteries is intended to just remain a mystery.
Where are the Dursleys? I’m just going to assume they lived a non-eventful life like they’ve always lived, except there are magic wands around. There’s no word of their house being damaged(except what the Order did), so I guess they just returned there after Voldemort died.
Missing 24 hours: I was sure we were going to get details on what happened in the missing 24 hours between the AK and the drop-off at the Dursleys.
What is Harry doing for a living? Actually, this was just answered in
this article(along with other answers). I quote...
Harry, along with Ron, is working at the Auror Department at the Ministry of Magic. After all these years, Harry is now the department head.
“Harry and Ron utterly revolutionized the Auror Department,” Rowling said. “They are now the experts. It doesn’t matter how old they are or what else they’ve done.”
Meanwhile, Hermione, Ron’s wife, is “pretty high up” in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, despite laughing at the idea of becoming a lawyer in “Deathly Hallows.”
The article also states that Luna is up to her usual stuff, but a little more realistic than her dad.
