Snape sent out a school owl on the treat of slowly plucking each individual feather from it if a single one of the things arrived broken. Enclosed was a handful of very light-purple amethyst forget-me-nots in a small cloth pouch, and a note reading:

"Luna,

Thank you for the gift. It was useful. I won't forget it.

Luna was startled to hear a frantic pecking on the window. She let the owl in and it gingerly flew to the table and lightly landed. Any time she reached for it, it pecked her. It even checked the package when it set it down to see that it was still intact. Only then did it back up and wait for her reply. After opening the gift and staring at it for a while, she rattled off this reply:

"Severus!

Thank you so much and you're welcome! I was glad to do it! These are incredible!! You are extremely talented!"
