Miniature Bag End

As featured in LJ's middleearthnews:  An absolutely amazing recreation of Bag End in miniature.

Just reading how she did it all, and the level of detail she recreated, is a very fun read.

2010, fun, lotr

Wow indeed! A neighbour is a doll's house enthusiast and in looking for presents for her I've trawled the Net looking for miniatures. Some of those available are remarkable (and very expensive), but for me the key thing that lifts this project out of the ordinary is that there is enough stuff, in other words it's cluttered enough to be believably habitable in the way that a good film/stage set is, whereas most doll's houses have a limited range of things in them. The spread of food is particularly good. Great fun and thanks for sharing.

I love dollhouses and teeny tiny furniture and all the stuff that goes with it. That's wonderful!

Unbelievably stunning. I'm in awe. This thing should wind up in a museum one day.

That is gorgeous! I've always loved miniatures, myself. But I buy them. I didn't put *that* much effort into building the house I live in! *iz lazy*
