i've considered it, but i realized i won't be able to even find a pattern for the kind of dress i want. i reeeally wanna be in something vintage-y with an a-line skirt and all the prom dress patterns are for people who want something long and flowy and...cupcake-ish. :( i am on the look out though, if you see anything lemme know!

You could probably find something closer to what you're looking for if you look at bridal sites at the bridesmaid dresses. They probably have A-line skirt ones, and I've seen neat vintagey ones too. But you'd have to be willing to cough up some extra money. =\
