I had a job offer today! I havent accepted just yet, but I probably will tomorrow. I'll be a Research Technician III at the CCRC and heading up a recombinant protein project. The pay is ok, (more is always better!) and it comes with full benefits and a decent amount of paid vacation.
Looks like I will be in athens for a bit longer after all!
Tonight I ran 3 miles nonstop in just over 30 minutes.
Halfway to meeting my goal before the Peachtree - 84 days to get up to 6 miles.
Strange little pre-interview for a job today went really well. It would be fulltime researching recombinatorial proteins with full benefits at UGA and pretty decent pay.
Presentation of my research went really well today, had several faculty researchers say many good things and even more when they found out I won the best research paper award. Not only that, but the award ceremony was pretty painless and the prize money very appreciated!
Time for celebratory glass of wine, 2 mile run, then more wine!
