What I've been up to lately.

Typical excuse, "I've been too busy."
But I really have been.
For years during my 2 hour commutes back up in Mass, I dreamed of being one of those guys who's job meant your commute was on an airplane rather than in a car. And I've finally worked myself in to that kind of position.
You know the old saying, "Be careful what you wish for beacuse you just might get it."? Hahaha well, that's how it's been.
The past 3 months have been crazy. Minus the past two weeks where I've finally had some home time; I've been flying out every sunday evening to Oklahoma City and flying back to Phoenix on Friday evenings, only having little over 1 day per weekend at home with my girlfriend. In the middle of that has been a weekend trip to Dallas, another to Houston, another to Portland OR, and a weekend in D.C. And just last week I got a call from my friend at MS who needed me to fly back to dallas to fill in for him the next day and give a presentation to 50 people.
It only sucks beacuse I didnt finally get this lifestyle I wanted until I happened to find and now live with the love of my life. Now I don't want to travel like this. Hahaha, that's life I suppose. But I look at this hectic travel as a temporary means to an end. Once we hire more consultants to work under me, I wont have to travel so much. Hopefully in 6 months or so, I'm managing a team of consultants and travelling rarely so in a few years we can sell the company for millions and I get my 10%. So I put up with it while I have to.
Of course my fittness has suffered as a result. All this constant travel means no time to work out and no way to really control my diet.
All I can say is, thank God for "Furry". "Furry" is so many different things to different people but really, at it's core, it's a network of friends. And my friends in furry come through time and again. These past couple of months in Oklahoma City would have been boring and lonely if it wasn't for my friend JugularJaguar there in OKC extending a paw and hanging out with me. We had a lot of fun and I just want to say Thanks Man. And the same rang true when I first moved to Dallas. I knew nobody. So I found the Dallas Furs group here on LJ, made contact and they welcomed me warmly. I immediately had a new group of friends and it really made the year and a half in Dallas a great time I'll never forget. To all my Dallas friends, Thanks again! I'm really psyched about the new Furry Fiesta Con in Dallas. It's shaping up to be a great con.
I'm really looking forward to seeing you all again at Oklacon this year. Speaking of Oklacon, I've just got my paws on the Adobe CS3 Production Premium suite to help me do some more creative things with the Con video this year. I've been tinkering a bit with After Effects and came up with a couple of test clips:
