I'm more a sucker for the West Side Story Schtick. But, yeah, I'd like to see Waiting for Godot. I've only actually read it and plays aren't for reading they're for watching.
When do you think it became all the rage to give everything like a contemporary context?
Fuck your layout is impossible. I can barely see what I'm typing to check my spelling/typing.
I like my layout. Should I change it? Maybe I'll see if Grace can fix the tiny tiny font thing. I have no idea what I'm doing with CSS.
I think they do that because the 'geniuses' in charge think the general theater going populace is just as culturally ignorant and generally stupid as your average bottom feeding MySpace junkie.
No! I didn't want you to change it --- I was just complaining because I couldn't read what I was writing.
Do you think that's why? I think they think it's somehow "clever" to stick everyone in 70s disco wear or something --- that it somehow makes it transgressive? But unless there's a point to the wardrobe --- I mean to say, unless there's an obvious parallel between the original context and the one the new wardrobe pushes it into? Then I just think it's annoying. Oh and it's also annoying when people play characters way too young for their bodies.
I mean bodies are everything. They matter. I find that annoying, too.
I can see about just changing the text. Grace did this. Blame her.
I think they think they need a gimmick, That's a crock. A good story is timeless and can stand on its own. Does Pippin need to be set in the 1990's for people to get what it's about? No.
ooc: bahahaha Peter's PB was in his mid thirties playing a 22 year old on this show and routinely played a 17 year old in Reefer.
