It was liberating, living in a home with a door which had no locks, knowing that refusing to use them over the last ten years had gotten him into his fair share of trouble. Now, it wasn't an option. He came and went, keyless, his door open to the world, because he liked to believe he had no secrets.

But he never expected to walk inside and find someone already there. He liked to believe there was no one close enough to him to pop in for such a visit. But lately, he'd been wrong more often than he'd like to admit.

Each tape had a label, each label he'd written one name and a date and nothing else. Half of those women he hadn't seen in years, some in a decade. But he carried a part of them with him wherever he went.

"Hello, Margot."

Margot didn't bother to pretend she hadn't been looking at the tapes. Looking, but not watching. Some things she was fairly sure were meant only for one set of eyes.

But that didn't prevent her from being curious about it.

She put down the video camera carefully and turned to Graham, one of the tapes still in her hand. "I didn't know you were a filmmaker." Not these types of films, anyway. If she was right in what she thought they were.

"It's more of uh," he pushed a hand through his hair, projecting a kind of casual distraction that he didn't feel, "Well, it's more of a hobby. How long have you been in here?"

He wasn't angry with her, that much was obvious. Anger wasn't a luxury he usually allowed himself.

"About five minutes." Margot was surprised he wasn't angry. And a little intrigued.

Make a lot intrigued, considering what she'd found.

"I wasn't going to watch," she said, and she placed the tape she was holding aside. "I thought asking you might be a better idea."
