Feeling much better about this semester
I'm done with my first day of school now and feeling much better about the semester than I was last night. I liked Professor Connolly very much this morning, though 8 AM is still way too early to be anything but a zombie for me alas. If it had to be a morning schedule, I'd much prefer 9 - 11 AM than 8 - 10 AM as I'm strangely a lot more awake at ( Read more... ) -
Oh joy, more reasons to dread the start of school
Right, so school starts back up tomorrow. Aside from the fact that I've got a full schedule of 8 AM classes, I'm really not looking forward to it because I'm not really wild about any of my classes to begin with. Blah. Next time I need to go visit the parental units, I think I'll just bit the bullet and get the 3:50 AM Amtrak train that goes to Salinas and then transfers to Monterey. They used to have a nice route that went from 1 PM to 10 PM, but no, they had to get rid of that. Fuckers ( Read more... ) -

Checking my system performance
Dad said to look into possibly doing other upgrades as well after I completed the hard drive upgrade last Sunday. I looked into both processor and RAM upgrades and discovered that processor upgrades would be impractical - I'd need a new motherboard to really be able to put a decent processor in my computer, and I think that's way too much work for ( Read more... ) -
I was wrong about the hard drive
I called up my dad this afternoon and asked him if he had any suggestions for screwing a hard drive into a hard to reach place since it looked like I wasn't going to be able to swap out my old hard drive for the new one. Focus isn't all it's cracked up to be
