Nathan had wanted to go to the preserve today but the chilly weather had put him off. Maybe he'd go later when it was warmer or he was feeling less than energetic. Ichabod had spent the morning trying to catch up with the reading he had planned for the Christmas holiday, which he had failed to do. Not that it was quite necessary, but he liked finishing the tasks he set himself. However, seeking out the company of one's friends was important too, and he hadn't spoken to Nathan in quite a while, so he knocked on the door.

Nathan was so grateful for the distraction right now about. He slid the tablet off his lap and got up so he could pull the door open.

"Hey," he greeted, forgetting his frustration for a moment. "Come in. How's it going?"

"Good afternoon," Ichabod said, smiling as he closed the door behind him. "I am returning to the habits that regular classes requite, I believe. And yourself?"

"Trying to read a book meant for four year old children," he said, shaking his head at himself. "But, there's been progress at least. I'm not a complete idiot these days."

Anders was glad to find Nathan in his room -- the walk to the radio station had been as much outside as he needed on a day like this.

"Hi," he said, poking the door open a hair more. "How are you? And do you feel like this week was extra-long? Because I do."

"Extremely long," he agreed, putting his tablet aside and looking up. "I'm okay, though. How are you doing? I heard you this morning on the radio. Was she the person from your world? The one who found you at the picnic?"

"That was the lovely Cassandra," Anders confirmed, wandering in and sitting at the foot of Nathan's bed. "Radio wasn't even her worst. Poisons class is taught by a witch and she turned that into a debate over Mage rights."

Out of curiosity, he added, "Did I sound all right? It's a very strange experience."

"You sounded fine," Nathan assured him, smiling slightly. "She sounded...less than amused by the whole situation. Is she treating you any better? Or still awful?"
