My ever so exciting Friday night included voting at the advance polls (mostly for convenience). After hearing the tail end of the debate, there wasn't much doubt who I was voting for (Green Party), though my area is overwhelmingly NDP. Which is fine, at least my vote was cast even though it probably won't push anything much except some financing ( Read more... )

Just a comment about eating less, you'll probably find that you're MORE hungry if you are nursing. I'm starving all the time, and I'm eating more than those last few months of pregnancy (when I didn't have much room!).

Does the WRHA do any top-up? Or are you going to be just on EI?

Are you kidding? EI is it. If I went on leave as of July 2009 MNU would net me a partial top up, but it doesn't look like it will top up starting then if I go on leave earlier, so my luck isn't the best in that regard. I also have to prepay all our benefits (health/dental) lump-sum before the leave for a year.

And unfortunately, I'm the primary earner.

That's too bad, but I was just wondering.

I didn't buy my retirement because I just didn't have the $5k kicking around. Hopefully I don't regret it in the long run.

And if you ever need something (like a break, someone to talk to, and I promise to feed you), catch a ride with Adrian and spend the day with me! I'm on leave until next August. :)

Oh, and Sara went to a The Cult concert with Julian and I... and she kicked up a storm at the end. We were in the Centennial concert hall, and it was too loud for me, so I can imagine she could hear and feel the vibrations! :)

I'm just minorly stressing about it at the moment, so I'm a little frustrated. I know we'll get through it regardless--worst case, I suppose I'll just end up back at work earlier than I wanted *sigh*

Not sure if I'll be able to time-wise, since I'm fulltime hours, but once we're both on leave we can coordinate something for certain :)

I was thinking about that whole vibration thing the other day and the Beach Boys song started running through my head... My mom is semi-guilting me (I think she's joking, but I'm not entirely sure) because I don't read stories to the baby or play music via headphones for him. Though, the only headphones we own are the gaming ones with a voice mic, and I can't help but imagine a fetal paramilitary command.

I'm usually NDP but decided to vote Green after the debate. Still hoping the area goes NDP as it would suck to split the vote and have a conservative get in.
