Groceries and Snoogling

Oct 05, 2008 10:22

I just had the healthiest breakfast ever: half a bag of Hershey's kisses.

My child is doomed ;)

Yesterday was decently productive. Adrian and I managed to clean out the fridge (not much was left that was actually edible) and our lower kitchen cupboards. As a result we have a wok awaiting value village (unless someone really wants it; it's not high ( Read more... )

Don't worry, I've had some winners in my time too. For a while I could only eat Toaster Strudels in the morning for breakfast, nothing else would make my nausea go away! :)

Costco has great produce, that's where we go. It also keeps longer than Superstore brand stuff.

New fabric has "sizing" on it, which a lot of people get reactions to. That's why we have to wash it before we sew it, and before we wear it. I wear new stuff without washing it, but my husband refuses to!

Incomprehensible version of what sizing is: http://www.freepatentsonline.com/4226748.html

More easy to digest: http://housekeeping.about.com/od/laundry/g/sizing.htm

Yes, well, the chocolate was entirely by choice and not necessity ;)

Superstore has probably the worst produce of all the major stores. It's always bruised or manhandled, and always spoils earlier than the rest.

Thanks for the info, as I knew sizing existed and roughly what it was (I have done some fabric arts), but never had a name for it before :)

I wouldn't worry too much about "dooming" your child, I took hot baths almost every day, I think I ate everything on the list of things that will kill your child and kaite is in perfect health and most deffinatly alive.

Hope the pillow works! I ended up sleeping on the couch for the last month of my pregnacy cause it was the only place that I found comfortable, so what ever works for you, eh?

I don't really worry about it to be honest--there's very little I actually avoid. I refuse to give up hot showers and limit myself in other various dumb ways. The only foods I actually avoid are raw fish (sometimes egg) and unpastuerised stuff, and generally figure everything else in moderation is fine (oh yeah, I don't drink, but I don't really drink all that much to begin with, so it's not really something I see as a limitation, but more of an excuse to get out of what can sometimes be a social obligation).

I hope it works too--it was still in the dryer last night so I haven't done the full test yet. I'm certainly willing to pay $60 for better sleep :)

I used to have a wok but I don't know what ever happened to it!
I'd say I'd take the wok off your hands but I also already have a lot of crap. Hmmm... to wok or not to wok.

Do you guys just never use it?
I think i would like it if you're getting rid of it - I really should make more veggie stir-fries. :D

I bought it while I was a student on sale (it's very low quality) before moving out, and Adrian and I have almost no use for it. We have a large saute pan that does practically the same thing and likely actually holds more.

my own equivalent of a 'large sautee pan' kind of has bits of teflon that are coming off. :P

can i take a look at it and decide from there?
