Methinks I'll pass on the contest. I can barely boil rice, and that's not exactly elite enough to win a good place in a chef's heart. There is a reason why I set cooking turns for the subordinates at the Tao headquarters. Sure, participating is fun, if you see the appeal of the kitchens, which I'm afraid I sort of don't. Yeah, I'm giving this one a miss too.

Another holiday, though this one is actually pretty cheap. You can get away with giving flowers for this one.

You give flowers to your friends...? That's a curious celebration, especially since it's not spring yet -unless it's a ritual to hope winter to end soon, I don't know. Where I come from, giving flowers to someone is more of a romantic thing, so it's going to be weird to witness such a thing.

[OOC: he has no idea, feudal-esque Japan and all XD but his canon is so flower power he can see such a faggy idea for a holiday existing]

Friends, lovers, and romantic interests. The weird part is when people leave their gifts anonymously.

((Jack's pretty much corrupting Valentine's in his explanations, so it's not like he can talk...))

...Huh, secret admirers. It is embarrassing; I much prefer people to tell me how much they like me or hate me face to face. Impressions aside, it might get a bit confusing. (And does it have to be flowers, though? I mean, I gave a this person a cherry tree for Christmas. Besides, giving her flowers is completely useless, like giving a seamstress a badly done kimono...)

[OOC: He's gonna need somebody else to explain Valentine's properly to Waka XD]

Well, Jack explained most of it already. There are variations according to the time and place, though. For most people this is a romantic holiday, but whether the man or the woman is the one who makes the gift varies. In some places, girls make presents to friends and family, too. Considering there are people from many different cultures here, it's possible that there will be a mix of several traditions going on.

... that should be fun to watch.
