A note to all City residents about the coming month,

Yes, I am understanding of the fact that coming up is a holiday of festive cheer. Regardless, let it hitherto be known that there is to be no display of lights, wreaths, holly, or a tree anywhere near my living quarters. I don't care what you do on your own schedule, so long as it doesn't ( Read more... )

you're a mean one mr. snape, i am insulted, snape is unhappy (again), here's my declaration, i am scrooge, christmas sucks

And are you a victim of this unwarranted cheerfulness plaguing the City as well?

I frequent the Underground more than the rest of the city, and it doesn't change much from season to season.

Then perhaps I should consider a move to there.

Don't worry, you aren't getting anything from me. Not even coal.

Merry Fucking Christmas.

Ms. Driver. Clearly you are under the impression that I care anything about what you think. Allow me to correct this ill-conceived notion.

My gift to you is these lovely, caustic verbal exchanges. Whether you care or not it doesn't matter, you keep replying.

Perhaps out of some morbid impulse that drives my disbelief at the 'loveliness' of your responses.

Oh! But he was a tight-fisted hand at the grindstone, Scrooge! a squeezing, wrenching, grasping, scraping, clutching, covetous old sinner! Hard and sharp as flint, from which no steel had ever struck out generous fire; secret, and self-contained, and solitary as an oyster. The cold within him froze his old features, nipped his pointed nose, shrivelled his cheek, stiffened his gait; made his eyes red, his thin lips blue; and spoke out shrewdly in his grating voice. A frosty rime was on his head, and on his eyebrows, and his wiry chin. He carried his own low temperature always about with him; he iced his office in the dog-days; and didn't thaw it one degree at Christmas.

Ah, I do beg your pardon. I thought you were reading from the Dickens story.

...I do not believe that such a revisit back to a pointless Christmas story was necessary, whoever you are. Yet another waste of time, I might add.

[ooc: *cracking up* Dear god. Awesome.]

Lord Cain Hargreaves. Yes, and I do beg your pardon for it. I can't imagine why I was so suddenly reminded of it.

[ooc: Couldn't resist! :3 All he needs is a 'Humbug!' or two~]

And you can wipe whatever irritating smile you have on your face, oh Lord. Your feeble comparison between myself and that story's antagonist is both banal and crude.

[ooc: Wait til the curse days? :D]

We need to get together sometimes.

I agree. It's been too long since last we saw each other in person. Possibly dating back to those witch hunting days in October.

This place is just filled with people who love life, isn't it?

I don't believe I said anything contradictory to that. Pay attention, would you?

Sarcasm. Rethorical question.

Pointless rhetorical question, might I add.
