Let me get this right...

Ok so I've had a manic day and yesterday was better, more productive, but I work is not my worry at the moment, actually I'm more furious over something else.

The background to my post can be found here and hereAnd whilst I know you all are aware of who I am, I want to reiterate that I am Queer, Pagan, and anti-war. But this is something I feel ( Read more... )

Which, given my background in Christianity is not something I believe most Christians would think would be a good thing. But then there are always a few who go completely off the wall.

But according to the WBC only THEY are true christians everyone else ( regardles of salvation status) is evil and going to burn in hell. Most of their church congrigation is made up of family members all of whom are taught that ALL of the bible is true even the violent stuff and the contridictiory stuff. You can't argue with people like that. They show the world by their actions just how much respect they deserve.

Oh, I know. But then it's what makes them such basket cases. They, like many before them have taken the Bible to mean something completely different to what those before them have seen and all because Fred Phelps has such control over his family.

Out of interest sis where's your post about the peaceful protest which was held today over the deaths of the servicemen in Northern Ireland ( ... )

I hadn't actually heard about that one yet sis as I tend to catch up with the news from the newspapers not online or via the TV or radio, but after reading today's papers I commented on what I knew to date, finding online sources in case people didn't know what I was talking about. Once I've actually caught up on that I'll probably post in regards to that as well.

Yes the shouting gets them heard but it puts the protesters in a negative light a lot of the time.

They had talks about picketing our memorial service for the bushfire deaths because 'god hates australia.' I am pretty sure they didn't come, I hope they were barred from here (I haven't found out more news re that). If they had of come, there would have been violence and possibly murder of them.

I'll kill them. I'm serious. I have no qualms about being condemned to their hell.

I want to put in a word here. I agree with most of what you are saying. Yeah, bigotry is one of the worst things our world has going for it. And I've struggled a lot with Christianity given my "lifestyle", too (I think most Christians use the word lifestyle when referring to the way we ARE). But through it all, I'm still a Christian. Maybe you're right, maybe all faiths do lead back to the same source. All I know is that I'm not going to judge anyone else based on faith or "lifestyle" or anything. I feel that most Christians (especially the WBC and movements like it) are completely wrong with the way they go about things. Even if you disagree with something, doesn't the Bible say to love everyone and leave in PEACE??

Sorry, this is one of the hardest issues in my life. It makes me as mad as it makes you. *hugs*

*hugs* No need to apologise honey, I just got so riled up because of the way the British Government seems to have double standards.

You can get office for Mac when it comes to the general programs, similar to normal Windows office so a package you're familiar with. Especially when doing your writing. You'll learn your way around the shortcuts fairly quickly and nine times out of ten, when you pressed CTRL on the PC, you should be pressing the cmd key on the Mac.
