As though they would need to. They feed off the same emotions as the dementors do. Protecting themselves from such feelings is, in essence, pointless.

[Vincent has been in the House of Personas for a long while, similarly absorbed in the images there. He barely notices another's presence until he nears the mirror. As he approaches, his own reflection turns into the wolfish form of Galian Beast. He gives the snake a curious glance.]

[Vincent gets the barest of half-glances from Severus. Interesting... almost reminds him of a werewolf... only much more demonic.

[His glance moves back to the snake, which, if Vincent is looking close enough at, he might notice is... not moving. It looks rather dead.]

From a distance, she notices the red-headed girl in his mirror. The man himself looks familiar, but she's not sure where from. She may as well just say hello.]

She was very gifted in the subject I taught. [Which would be entirely true and plausible if not for the fact that the Snape in the mirror is a muuuuch younger version than the one currently standing in the middle of the room. We're just going to... walk off to another section now so we can look at the dead snake again. At least it looks like it could be sleeping but for the lack of breathing motions.]
