Loved the pilot. I haven't seen a man this hot on my TV since a guy named Sawyer came along. I didn't see any icons, so I went and made some. For jenthegypsy. :) Hope you find one you like!

I liked it! Although I went in with middling expectations, so I don't want to overhype.

Apparently Deadwood fans find it lacking in comparison, but since I never got into Deadwood, I can't weigh in on that. I did find the main actor to be smoldering hot, though! Definitely reminded me of Sawyer. And I also really liked the female lead, who has her own, separate storyline.

You know, I'm a huge fan of Deadwood, and I don't find HoW lacking at all. They are two entirely different beasts, imo. Didn't you just adore that opening scene of the pilot? The one in the confessional? They had me right there.

I also find the period in history very interesting. The building of a transcontinental railroad was an amazing and nigh impossible task. Just fascinating.

And who wouldn't love such a tragically flawed and completely sexy character wearing a duster and sporting a .36 caliber Griswold? :D

Yaaay! So glad you like. I can't believe no one else had made any yet, but 'twas easily done. :) And also glad to hear that you're enjoying HoW on its own terms as I've seen a lot of "it's trying too hard to be Deadwood" comments. The period is indeed very interesting. I was always fascinated by the John Henry myth, for one.

Cullen is so very Clint Eastwood-meets-Sawyer, so far. And I'd never heard of a Griswold (seems like it should be on Grimm!) but I'm a fan now, LOL.

Enjoy the icons! Hope the show continues to deliver. And hey, that makes two shows we're both watching, which is all to the good. ♥
