A little power is as dangerous as a little knowledge. The past few days have only evidenced why humanity is seldom given such talents, it wastes them. I have stayed my hand often since coming here, my Lord. If the denizens of this City will insist on showing off their petty parlour tricks I will make no attempt to dissuade them from it - this does not require me to enjoy the display.

That I can appreciate. Abusing minor powers and complaining about the results is less understandable.

I have heard that keeping company lessens the noise of the ticking.
