warning: there is a LOT of fangirling in this post. you may want to skip it if excessive fangirling makes you ill. sorry, can't help it. you have been warned. LOL

exactly! it was pretty much, gasp! flail! gasp! flail! the whole eppy. so glad they are still writing the boys true to the characters we have all grown to love. ;)
I'm getting this as I type, but I wobn't get to watch it for a while (dinner party & stayover tonight, charity screening of Serenity tomorrow). But it sounds really good, so I'm looking forward to it.
I'm glad they didn't spend several eps trying to get Dean out of hell - it would have been dull.
Yes, I liked Bela better too, but it really looked like she was toast, and Lauren Cohan did say at Asylum that she hadn't been approached to return. (Katie Cassidy was more noncommittal IIRC). I suppose TPTB (& I don't know exactly how Dean gets back, please don't spoil *g*) didn't want her back. So bye-bye Bela! Ruby will do, though.
i agree it would have been boring showing Sammy and Bobby mourning and trying things to get him out.
don't read further until you see the eppy b/c this next part is a SPOILER for the eppy. it was a big plot point so yeah, no peeking.
Re: Ruby what i meant up there was i liked the original Ruby better than this new girl. i did like Bela but i don't see her returning unless it is some very convoluted reason.
I see what you mean, now. Katie Cassidy was sassy and bitchy and altogether a better Ruby. I suppose she was busy. Pity...
I liked all the stuff you liked. Also liked that we got to see the 'perky nipples' at one point - not at all gratuitous as Dean would check his wounds, so I didn't feel guilty about ogling.... *g* And that the doomed psychic obviously decided with one look that she was going to have herself a Winchester sandwich, and made no bones about telling them! (Slash wasn't the only fic being referenced this time). Pity she never managed that sandwich, she was certainly keen on it, but you just know somebody will write it anyway...
Btw, the track playing on the iPod was Jason Manns' 'Visions'. Jason is a good friend of Jensen's - they've even recorded a song or two together. I've seen him play a couple of times, he's really good.
yeah, i hope this new girl can do "sassy/bitchy" better eventually. OTOH, perhaps this version of Ruby is different for a reason. after being trashed by Lilith, did Sam "save" her? or did she find him again herself? and why? see MORE questions. gah!
yes, not gratuitous at all. *g*
yes, please to sandwich. i mean seriously who would NOT take one look and want that? ;)
nice info about the music on the iPod. i saw a post somewhere that had the music for DL. i may have to go snag it.
