You should probably get a book or at least internet sight to tell you how to break them of tearing stuff up...I wish I could give advice, but mine likes destroying stuff, too. She's been pretty much broken from touching stuff that isn't hers (except a shoe every now and then), but she still only destroys toys, usually....especially squeaky toys.
The book I have says to take away whatever the dog is chewing on, say "no" and replace it with an acceptable chew toy. Which isn't very effective because my dog can shred pretty much anything in about four seconds. I never catch her in time. I guess I need a new book.
The spray bottle only worked with her for about a week. Now when I use it she barks and gets into this crouching, butt shaking position she uses for play fighting. Maybe if I can find one that doesn't make noise...
