Well since way back when Elijah David Malanca was born and we moved to Steilacoom. Kind of looking for a more indepth blog since starting Facebook. I think I'll start to catalog more about what's going on and treat this more like a journal especially since the social aspect has greatly diminished. I want to look back and read these years down

I've got a book of a couple letters written between Arthur Clark and CS Lewis. Apparently they once met in a pub and the quiet third wheel was JRR Tolkien. In the same book there's a couple sci-fi shorts by both authors, in Lewis' the government sends an overweight and a very old prostitute to a space station for the men, but one of them at the end concludes God's given him these ladies to witness Christ to them. In Clark's a guy goes to Jupiter and sees a giant sky jellyfish and concludes that man must make peace with machines to push further into space as he transforms into a car and drives across the moon. Yeah.

That's um, crazy! I don't get why so much sci-fi is loaded with off-the-wall concepts. There's a lot of great sci-fi concepts and plots littered with kooky space religions, and kooky space morals that make me uninterested in reading them.
