Wild peaches so soft I want to rub them on my face...

Green grocer in another part of town had something exotic looking: Wild peaches. I had to ask what they were, they looked so strange. They're yellow and red like a peach, but those colors stretched over a flat, almost squashed-looking, very irregular fruit didn't ring a bell. They're so soft I keep wanting to rub them on my face
