I'm planning on buying a house here in Dallas. I've already lived here for almost two years. But I still don't know every single area yet. Anyways to the question. Would the Dallas East area be a safe/good place to move too compared to the other areas? I've heard mixed opinions about the area. Some people say it's not safe. But sellers says it is. I'll ask some of my co-workers from the Dallas area and see what they say.

East Dallas sucks in my opinion for housing. heh.

It is more a question on what street you live on. one street can be ok, but the next one over, not. Dallas is strange that way.

I know my mom's friend had said that. He lives out that way. You walk down the street and your suddenly in the bad area but then you walk a little further and your in a good area. Which sucks at finding a house cause it becomes is this a good street or not?

I live in East Dallas and love it. Some parts are bad I would stick to the lower Greenville area or Lakewood.

My friend from Dallas told me that basically all parts of Dallas were ok except for the Southern part. He also said there's a small town like 10-20 minutes outside of east Dallas that's nice and fairly cheap...and it's a straight road back to town.
