Eeeeee that bag is so cute! I don't even use purses but I'd probably start if I had a Moomin one!

Yay, Moomins!

It's funny, I have quite a few Finns-living-in-Britain in my life - both through online friendships such as yourself and Tukru, and through people I know IRL - Waj's family and my dad's partner, Ulla.

Yay indeed!

That's pretty interesting, why can't it have happened to me, too?! :S I hadn't realised your dad's partner is Finnish!

I LOVE your icon and I've just watched that episode of BBT!! Does Sheldon have a good Finnish accent? :P I love that t-shirt, do you know they've even released a singing cuddly cat which I'm thinking of getting for Chris for Christmas. We're both addicted to BBT!

I had 2 French readers at the library yesterday too, I found out because one of them was asking her sister to speak for her because she was too shy to speak English! So we spoke in French but, like you, I felt really strange and even broke into English a couple of times...

Hehe, it's such an addicting series, isn't it?! I hadn't heard about the cuddly toy, I'm half tempted to try get one for Matt for Christmas now, though! :D Haha, Sheldon doesn't have a very good Finnish accent :P I just watched that bit on youtube again (I've lent the dvd box to a friend) and his pronounciation of 'rypäleet' ('grapes') is WAY off, I wouldn't have understood him if he hadn't said it in English first.

That's happened to me, too, breaking into English when trying to speak Finnish (or just forgetting what something is in Finnish... oops. I feel so frustrated sometimes - my English is far from perfect and now my Finnish is starting to deteriorate slightly as well.. great :(). ..knowing French would be quite useful here, though, we get quite a few clients in my volunteering job whose native language is French (they're usually from different African countries, though, not France).

In Glasgow I see/hear a lot of Africans who have French as their first language, too. My French is getting weirder every year :/. I hear my family speak and tell myself 'Oh yeah, that's how that's supposed to be said...'
