Opinion on the Treo - Chris loves it, as he used to carry a phone and a palm pilot, and now he just has to carry one. And he can check his mail anywhere! At dinner. At the movies. In the car. I'm not so fond of that part.

My boss has a BlackBerry, which she likes, but if you're not really interested in checking your mail, that's also probably not useful.

We have a friend who has a RAZR, but she says it's flimsy and not very comfortable to use.

I have an old phone.

Yeah - I got the 7135 for the same reason - didn't want to carry two gadgets if I could get away with one.

Actually, what really got me about carrying around a palm pilot and a cell phone was going on trips and forgetting one charger or another. Ended up buying an extra charger far too often.

The big advantage to the Treo/Blackberry over my current model seems to be the email side of things (keyboard, better connectivity, faster processor together makes for a better email appliance) but that alone isn't likely to drive me to upgrade. Bluetooth is nice, kinda, but I am not especially longing for it.

Thanks for the insight :)

Bypass the middle-man and just install Skype on your laptop! Sure you'll look funny, but you'll get full functionality!

Razrs are, well the first generation anyway, crap. They can't stand any abuse at all and their signal is pretty poor. I don't know anyone that's happy with one.

Do you text at all? That would be a good reason for a keyboard, but that's about it.
