I am also pro-life. I think that if a woman wants an abortion, for whatever reason she should be allowed that. However, I do not support partial birth abortions for any reason other than life or death situations. Bush is making actions to make partial birth illeagle, which make me happy.
Oh man... partial birth horrifies me more than many many other things. I was reading this pamphlet that said John Kerry voted against the partial birth abortion ban 6 TIMES.
I can't believe anyone could think so little of a human life that they would condone having a baby actually begin the birthing process and then crush its skull. *shudders* terrible terrible terrible.
1. I've been registered for 3 years 2. I voted saturday (early vote option) and I voted for Kerry and Betty Castor because I don't like Mel Martinez. 3. ... 4. Although I think the two party system is shit, I also realize that money drives our society and because of that fact, there will always be two parties (as much as nadar wants to run). I also realize that no matter who wins, anyone who wants to be president and has any chance of getting elected is a douchebag. So my vote is mostly based on how much I feel we just need a change in our country. I think Bush, as good as his intentions are, is fucking up. I'm not sure if Kerry is right for this country, but I know that he is a fresh face and will be able to restore our ties with our Allies and the UN.
and finally. 5. Do you know the weblink to that cartoon? I want to show it in my class.
1) Registered for years now. 2) Kerry, Edwards 3) SKIP 4) So I can get the dickhead who tried to amend the US constitution to make it so that I cannot marry a woman out of office. And yes, I know Kerry isnt pro-gay marriage but at least he wont make it ILLEGAL!!!!
I hope you get your rights to marry whoever you want :) But I do believe Bush was trying to make it up to the State, not actaully make it illegal PS: Besides if they made it illegal I'd go with you to raid the White House :)

No, no, youre wrong my dear. And Im not quite sure where you got your information but I am quite active in Gay rights and very aware of where Bush, and Kerry, stands on it and I can tell you with upmost certainty that he(Bush) DID infact try to push a bill thru congress about 4-5 mos ago (that got denied btw, and was a huge WIN for the gay community ) that would have banned Gay-Marriage on a Federal level, therefore taking it OUT of the hands of the states. That totally negates your statment of " But I do believe Bush was trying to make it up to the State, not actaully make it illegal"
Do you get it now? Sorry. This wasnt a bitch fest, I just wanted you to be truly informed with the elections coming up and all. Hell, youre probly not even old enough to vote anyways so you shouldnt even worry your little head about all this grown up stuff that the older generation has to put up with. Anyways, Im off. -Heather-
1) Can't register until April cause I'm 17 2) cant :( 3) Bush and Cheney baby :D 4) I think Bush has done a very good job and I also believe that Kerry is a fucking moron :/ Having the biggest Anti-War Liberal as Commander in Chief in the middle of a war is a bad bad bad bad BAD idea :P As much as I hate war, I hate people who would kill my friends & family for no reason other than them being American even more. Russia and 9/11? Unforgiveable. If Kerry gets in office and disarms us first like he says he wants to, the next day its going to be 'KABOOM' on America :(

When I made this post it was not for the purpose of argument. I think both candidates have their strong points and like wise that both have weak points. In my opinion, no one in America is completely informed on every aspect of either mans platform. It is easy to scream and yell because someone doesnt agree with what you think. But when it comes down to it, explaining why you think what you do gets through much better. I didnt intend for this post to cause any negitive comments on my journal. Feed back, yes, but berading another person for what they think... thats just barbarous.
