I just wanted to thank those who have offered prayers in the recent past. My mom told my brother about it, so I can now let other people know. My dad had surgery on Friday to remove a cancerous tumor. It is the same kind of cancer that he had 16 years ago. The surgery went well and he is recovering nicely. you have been in my thoughts a lot recently, and i thought a story might brighten your day.
story: so i am at berea coffee and tea right now, and because berea is an old person/tourist magnet, it is not uncommon to see flocks of old women come to the window of the coffee shop and kind of stare in trying to figure out if the establishment is a friendly place. so here i am, just sitting, and i glance up and this small flock of old women are clustered at the door, and all of them are wearing these magnificent red hats. but they are not just any red hats, they are most definitely the red hats from wal-mart, that in our days at siena heights, we ran around wal-mart wearing.
