I exercise at least 2-3 hours before my sleep time to take out most of the body's energy. A bit of light dinner to draw the rest of the body's energy into digesting the food. I'm sure you'd be out just like that.
...Are you sure sheep don't count? I'm thoroughly embarrassed to admit that I've tried these, but the hitsuji de oyasumi seiyuu-counting-sheep CDs? Totally effective. A few of the CDs do use female seiyuu, btw. :P
