Last night was a lot of fun. With work and being sick and life in general, I haven't gone out in a while. Christian's (and friends) acoustic set at the Loaded Hog was the perfect relaxer. I miss seeing Still Naive play- but that will be rectified soon!

Well it's the weekend again. Normally this is cause for excitement, but looking at the pile of work-related stuff I have to go over this weekend, not to mention the housework, I'm definitely feeling the excitement fade. Well it had to happen sometime- it's a Monday and I'm at work (big frown). But I had a really good time last night with Ellen, Crystal, Eileen, and Dee (you were there in spirit I know!) and then with Matt and Nick later at Fridays. Yes, Fridays. It's been a long time since I went to one! Guess I'd better go do some work.

Well my long weekend is history. Back to the rat race I go!

I'm really getting to like this. I haven't worked a monday in 2004 yet. I think this is the last week that I'll get to say that, though. Oh well, it was nice while it lasted.

Not much going on lately- get up, go to work, come home, go to bed. Get up and do the same thing all over again. Work keeps piling up, but no overtime allowed. Not until spring anyway. Guess I'll have to wait to clean up until then. Just in time to cover the money I'll be spending in Vegas!!

I said I was going to keep this thing updated for the new year- and here I go again. I need more time in the day to do everything. That or maybe I should give up more sleep. But I LIKE my sleep!! I'm still trying to write an account of our trip north over New Year's weekend, and here it is the 13th already! Sheesh! Where does the time go???/

A new journal for a new year- sounds like a good idea to me. I can't believe here it is 2004 already- seems like it was 2000 just the other day! And what better way to spend the first day of the new year than recovering from the excesses of the last day of the old one?
