I know that this journal is really only for fics, but I am feeling SO frustrated!  I want to write more and I get ideas, but then where in the span of a day to people have any f*ing time to actually sit down and write out a fic??  I am completely stumped by this.  My husband says that it's all people who have more flexible schedules than me (stay

Sorry you're having a hard time! What is your schedule like right now? I'm basically a work-at-home mom (doing freelance work on the evenings and weekends and whenever else I can fit it in) and I find myself envying childless people who have regular working hours for being able to do what they want with their free time. At least, that is how I picture their lives being ... :)

I think when I took up fic writing, I gave up watching as much crap tv in my late evening unwinding time. Or sometimes I just give up sleep if I have an idea that won't leave me alone. But mostly this summer I've been struggling to find the time to write much of anything, so I sympathize.

Thanks for the response :) My schedule is actually not regular, which is a big part of the problem I think. I work in a field where I meet with people all day, so I often don't even take proper lunch breaks and I've been known to work from 10am-9pm on some days. I am trying to get more into a routine, so I'm hoping that will help a bit

I appreciate the encouragement :) I actually wouldn't be surprised if there was something in the air ;) I'd love to think that once my schedule gets more normalized, it will be easier, but I think what it really comes down to is not setting aside enough time for myself and, as you say, exercising my creative muscles. I have a general problem with taking time for myself, so this is probably just one more symptom of that issue :\ ...
