gin is derived from junipers. it's very strong flavored, and does not stand well as a liquor to be consumed as is (at least, that's how i feel) - it mixes exceeding well with tonic water and lime. g&ts are actually my drink of choice. :)

what brand is it?

I haven't thought of brands so much, other than it would be something from Britain. I know, how very vague.

I am kind of disappointed in me because I can't answer this question for you... I do know my liquors, but I never drank gin without tonic before...

No worries, I can always try a little research on my own. ^_^

Based on your descrip. of the situation, I'd say warm celery. Rm. temp gin would not be terribly refreshing!

Warm celery? *Snort-giggles* Well, if I were able to test that theory out I'd be eating some celery right this moment, but instead I can't. Must remember to snag some warm celery tomorrow. XD

I'm not a random stalker, I swear, I just followed the Janis icon from... I can't really remember where, one of the communities. XD

I'm late to the party here, but gin by itself, to me, always tastes a bit like the way peroxide smells. Sort of antiseptic and with an almost.... pine-y taste? Not wood, but the actual needles. Tanqueray with tonic and lemon or lime, maybe some cranberry juice... now that's a drink!

I'll end my moment of creepy dropping-in now. ;)

Ahh, thanks for the drop in. Nice to meet another Janis fan. :)

Yeah, I've done enough gin shots now to know it's taste. But I'll have to try it cranberry, because I do like it on its own. Thanks!

Bye other Ontario person!
