It's really easy to understand now. I had one form 2008 and I was very confused and just left it alone. Now, you just make an account, customize your page, and there are buttons at the top that say "text, photo, audio, video" etc and you just click which one you want.
If you click 'text' you make a written update, 'photo' and you can upload a photo. 'audio' and you can upload a song for people to listen to right from your computer, etc. It's actually much easier to use than livejournal and allows you to be a lot more creative.
I wasn't going to, honestly. But Tumblr really is much more streamlined and very easy to use. Just overall more convenient and a bigger audience. I feel like I'm talking to ghosts here.
Tumblr is actually so much easier to use than livejournal. I've had 5 different LJ's spanning almost a decade, and tumblr has just been so much easier for me to manage. As for the layouts...all I did was type "Tumblr Layouts" into google, and found one I liked, copied and pasted it into the section on tumblr where you can customize, and that was it! Try playing around on it a little bit. If you still can't figure it out, let me know and I'll set one up for you. :)
That is really helpful. It provided me a number of ideas and I'll be placing them on my web site eventually. I'm bookmarking your blog and I'll be back. Thanks again!
